The Twelve is an upcoming Marvel comic series about 12 characters from the golden age of comic books who each didn’t cut the mustard with their own adventures. Each character has been re-invented and re-designed. This issue gives you three of the character’s own exploits from the 1940’s. It also gives you writers’ commentary on where they wanted to go with each character as far as looks, attitude, and physiology. Then on the last few pages they give you a glimmer at the beginning adventure of The Twelve. This series hasn’t even officially started yet and I can already tell… it rocks.

This one-shot special revolves around a support group of young women who have all been the victim of the same urbane young rapist. The women share their tales of violation, and anger. One of the women tells of a suicide attempt which was foiled by Moon Knight, who helped her see her true beauty. The only downside to this book is that it does somewhat lack sufficient appearances by Moon knight. However, the well told story, and vivid artwork are very satisfactory. This comic is a perfect example of the kind of hero Moon Knight is. No, he’s not out to stop every super villan from destoying the Earth. Just to beat the hell out of some ass-hole-jerk-wad who’s been giving good people crap.
